This Privacy Policy explains how T&L Companies LLC, doing business as True Standard Fitness ("True Standard Fitness," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use our websites, mobile and web applications, SMS and email programs, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Who we are
The Services are operated by T&L Companies LLC d/b/a True Standard Fitness. If you have questions about this Policy or your data, contact us at support@truestandardfitness.com.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number.
- Account and profile data: login credentials, goals, preferences, and answers you submit in quizzes, intake forms, and applications.
- Health and fitness data you choose to share: workouts, nutrition and food logs, body measurements, progress photos, check-in responses, and coaching messages.
- Payment information: processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
- Communications: the content of messages you send us by SMS, email, chat, or the in-app coach.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and interactions with the Services.
- Cookies and similar technologies used to keep you logged in and to understand how the Services are used.
2.3 Information from third parties
- Advertising and analytics partners (for example, Meta) may share limited data about how you reached us.
- If you connect a calendar or other integration, we receive the data needed to provide that feature.
3. How we use your information
- Provide, personalize, and improve the Services, including AI coaching, programming, and check-in feedback.
- Deliver the resources, plans, and lead magnets you request.
- Send you transactional messages, account notices, reminders, and, with your consent, marketing messages.
- Process payments and manage subscriptions.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- Protect the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
4. SMS and text messaging (TCPA)
When you provide your phone number and check a consent box, you agree to receive automated informational and marketing text messages from True Standard Fitness at the number provided. These may include: account and login notifications, appointment reminders, lead-magnet and resource delivery, coaching and check-in messages, and promotional offers. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies and you will generally receive no more than a few messages per week. Message and data rates may apply.
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You may reply HELP for help. Reply START to opt back in. We honor opt-out requests promptly and record them on your contact profile.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, excluding the aggregators and providers of the text message services necessary to deliver messages to you (for example, Twilio). All other sharing categories described in this Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent.
5. Email marketing
With your consent we send marketing and educational emails. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Transactional emails (such as receipts, account, and security notices) may still be sent after you unsubscribe from marketing.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We share information only as described here:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf (for example, cloud hosting, payment processing with Stripe, SMS delivery with Twilio, email delivery with Resend, and AI processing providers), bound by contract to protect it.
- Advertising and analytics partners, limited to data needed to measure and improve our marketing.
- Legal and safety disclosures when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Services.
- Business transfers, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
7. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion as described below.
8. Your choices and rights
- Access and export: you can request a copy of your data, including through the in-app data export.
- Correction: you can update your profile information in the app.
- Deletion: you can request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
- Opt out: reply STOP to texts; use the unsubscribe link in marketing emails.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) or the EU/UK GDPR. To exercise any right, contact support@truestandardfitness.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International users
We operate in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand your information may be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date, and where appropriate we will notify you.
